With how hard the wedding industry was struck by the Coronavirus, most photographers in Northern Indiana, just like photographers around the world, found themselves with less content to put out on their social platforms and websites since real weddings just weren’t happening as much this year. Our friend Hiedi at Photos By Hiedi saw a need for wedding industry creatives to get together to make something beautiful to re-inspire and re-energize everyone creatively again, so she put on an amazing styled shoot on the shores of Lake Michigan.
It was so wonderful to gather with other photographers and videographers and get to know some new creatives from around Indiana. Since we moved to Fort Wayne we haven’t had many chances to get out and meet new people, so it was so great to make some new connections and we hope these wedding industry connections will help us further network to brides in Chesterton, Indiana and the surrounding areas.

ogden dunes near chesterton, indiana
Originally the shoot was scheduled to take place at Indiana Dunes National Park in Chesterton, Indiana, but due to storms that came through the area throughout the week they decided in the interest of safety to rescind the permit for the shoot. Hiedi did some amazing last minute maneuvering and found a great location at Ogden Dunes near Chesterton, just a little further down the beach with amazing access to the water and great views of the skyline of Chicago all the way across the lake. Even though it was windy the weather was perfect. The white caps of the waves stirring really added to our first bridal look as the dress billowed in the wind, and I love a good adventurous, windswept look to long flowing bridal hair styles.

To start off the shoot, Rohma was in a gorgeous white Indian-fusion bridal dress. I loved Hiedi’s styling choices for this with the simple arch setup, rugs, and candles. The entire ensemble was made up of the most bohemian, romantic vibes, especially with the luscious waves of Lake Michigan in the background.
We loved the way this wedding dress moved and flowed with the wind on the lakeshore. The dress is a stunning fusion of cultures by Kynah Indian Clothing, and we loved how it photographed as well!
